Uninsightful articles can seem insightful due to unintentional spaced repetition

When an uninsightful article repeats an insight from a previous article, it acts as a spaced repetition mechanism for that particular insight, which our brains interpret as useful. To the unprepared (i.e. those who don't regularly use spaced repetition) this might be one of the only ways to get repetition of insights.
