Cards created by oneself can be scheduled more aggressively

From Issawiki (static archive)

A similar point was made by Andy Matuschak about Quantum Country cards: if you encounter a card as part of an article you're reading, you know/understand the facts well enough that cards can be more aggressively scheduled compared to, say, vocab cards for a foreign language. The same thing applies to cards you create yourself where you understand the material.

Concretely, I've been doing 5 days -> 14 days as the two initial steps in Anki.
